FirstFedSecuresm is an enhanced online security feature. As part of First Fed's ongoing commitment to help protect you against online identity theft and fraud, FirstFedSecuresm provides added safety. FirstFedSecuresm personal security image is a picture and text that is a shared secret between you and First Fed. As part of your standard FirstFedOnlinesm log in procedure, when you see your personal security image, you can be confident that you are at the legitimate First Fed website and not an imposter site. Make sure you see your personal security image before you enter your password In addition, FirstFedSecuresm remembers which computer(s) you normally use, thus preventing potential fraudsters from logging into your account, even if they somehow get hold of or guess your username and password. |

| Why do I need FirstFedSecuresm? |
On the Internet today, fraudsters attempt to steal your identity by impersonating the websites you trust. (To learn more about Internet identity theft "phishing" scams and how you can protect yourself, click here for "3 Important Facts on Phishing.") FirstFedSecuresm helps us proactively protect you, our client, against such attacks. In addition, you can ensure that we also recognize you as the true owner of your account. If we don't recognize your computer, we will ask you one of your challenge questions (described below in "How does FirstFedSecuresm work?") as an additional line of defense against unauthorized access to your account. |

When you visit your home branch, you know our faces and we know yours. FirstFedSecuresm does the same thing over the Internet. It is a new method to identify us to you and you to us. When you enroll in FirstFedSecuresm, you will select a secret image and phrase known only to you. Whenever you log in, we will show you this image and phrase so that you can rest assured that you are accessing the real First Fed website and not an imposter site. We also check the computer(s) or device(s) that you are using to access our website. Typically, you will access our website from one or two computers, such as your work and home machines. FirstFedSecuresm remembers your computer. Should you need to logon from a different computer, such as an Internet cafe, we will take additional steps to verify your identity, such as ask you to provide the answer to a challenge question for which we both know the answer. FirstFedSecuresm remembers your computer by assigning a unique identifier to each computer you use to access the First Fed website using standard secure cookies. The cookie is used to store the computer's identification information only. No personal or private data is stored in any way. |

| How is FirstFedSecuresm more secure? |
FirstFedSecuresm protects you from accidentally revealing your username and password to a fake site. In addition, if someone does somehow get your username and password, he will still not be able to access your account because he is not at your registered computer nor will he be able to answer a challenge question to verify his identity. |

| What keeps somebody from stealing my personal security image and phrase? |
We only show you your personal security image and phrase if you log in from your own computer, or after you have answered a challenge question. So it is not possible for an unauthorized person to access your personal security image. |

| Why am I being asked a question when I try to log in? |
We ask you a challenge question when we detect that you are trying to log in from a new computer. This is to prevent someone with stolen passwords from logging into your account. Since only you know the answer to the question, we will know it's really you. Generally, you will be asked to answer a secret (challenge) question only when you logon for the first time from a new computer. After you answer the question, you will be asked whether we should remember this computer for future logons. If you are using your personal computer, you should answer "yes." If you are using a public terminal, you should answer "no." |

| Can I access my account from multiple computers? |
Yes, you can still access your First Fed account from any number of computers and still have the same FirstFedSecuresm protection. If you log in from a new computer or a public terminal, you will just need to go through one extra step of answering a challenge question. This helps protect you by keeping unauthorized people from accessing your valuable information. There is no limit on how many different computers you can use to log in to your First Fed account. |

| What happens if someone steals my password? How will FirstFedSecuresm keep them from accessing my account? |
When an unauthorized person tries to logon using your stolen user name and password, we will recognize that they are logging in from a different computer and ask them one of your challenge questions. Since only you know the answers to your secret challenge questions, they will not be able to give a correct answer and, therefore, will not be able to log in. |

When you log in for the first time from a new computer, we put a secure (encrypted) cookie on your computer. This cookie contains a randomly-generated, unique number that identifies your computer. The cookie is visible only to First Fed and does not contain any of your personal information. When you log in after that, your web browser sends us this cookie. This lets us know that this is your computer. |

| What is a Flash Object? |
Macromedia Flash Objects store data on your computer in much the same way that cookies do. If you have Macromedia Flash installed, First Fed can use Flash Objects to recognize your computer in the event that you erase all of your cookies. That way, even if we can't identify you by your cookies, we can identify you as a valid user without having to ask you one of your challenge questions. |

| Does FirstFedSecuresm use Flash Objects? |

By using Flash Objects as a backup method for recognizing you as a valid user, we ensure that your logon experience is as quick and convenient as possible. |

This might happen in cases if you've deleted all cookies on your computer. Before answering a challenge question or entering your password, make sure that you are going to the legitimate First Fed website. The easiest way to ensure this is by typing the URL of the Bank (www.firstfedca.com) directly into your web browser. Then, after you answer the challenge question, you should see your secret image and phrase next to the password field. If your FirstFedSecuresm image and text is there, you can be confident that you are at First Fed's legitimate website and can enter your password. |

| What is a Trojan Horse or Key Logger? |
Some fraudsters have been putting programs on random computers in order to harvest your user ID and password information used to log in to websites. They collect this information and secretly transmit it to their own compuers and attempt to log in to your site. These are called Trojan Horses or Key Loggers (short for logging your keystrokes). |

| How does FirstFedSecuresm protect me from a Trojan Horse or Key Logger? |
Once you have a FirstFedSecuresm image and phrase, and have registered your computer, even if a fraudster steals your user ID and password, his computer will not be registered, and he will not be able to log in as you; thus FirstFedSecuresm protects your identity and your account. |
